Make Some Noise: Open the Throttle & Dominate Your Marketplace
Ken Schmidt, Customer Loyalty Expert, Former Director of Communications Strategy for Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Author of ‘Make Some Noise,’ and Co-Creator of Torque Sessions

Ken Schmidt will share a fascinating story of how businesses of any size and scope can—by focusing on understanding and harnessing the most basic drivers of human behavior—improve their competitiveness and avoid margin-killing commoditization in even the most difficult marketing environments. The road to building a fanatically vocal customer base, creating a passionately loyal corporate culture, and developing leaders who inspire and motivate starts here. Schmidt challenges audiences to consider what they are willing to do today that is different than what they did yesterday, for the people who can put them out of business tomorrow.

Construction Markets Overview
Mike Clancy, Partner and Strategy Practice Leader, FMI Consulting
Construction activity has recovered more quickly than most expected. And although industry stakeholders are optimistic about continued demand, there’s a palpable level of anxiety surrounding supply shortages, inflation, and other emerging risks. This presentation will share many of the underlying reasons why such optimism exists and the rewards they offer. However, like any market, bulls and bears coexist. As new risks are introduced as a result, learn what others are preparing for to best position their organizations for the next cycle.

Two learning goals: 1) Identify economic and industry metrics to forecast likely demand scenarios, and 2) Prepare for emerging trends that will impact everyone.

The 5 C’s of Safety: A New Framework for Building a Strong Safety Culture
Tim Sheehan, Owner and COO, OSHA Environmental Compliance Systems (OECS), and Tim Peterson, Vice President of Operations, OECS
Struggling with safety? Frustrated with your staff and results? Not sure where to start or what to do? Or perhaps you want to move from good to great? Maybe even wrestling with how to maintain a great safety track record? Wherever your company stands today, this session can help you energize your team’s safety efforts. Hear about the 5 C’s of Workplace Safety:

  • Commitment: Starts at the top with leadership
  • Compliance: Setting the foundation for safety success
  • Culture: Understanding how you build a strong culture
  • Champions: Finding and empowering them
  • Costs: Getting the facts on the business case for safety

It takes a commitment from leaders to ignite this change. As a result, your company can reap the enormous benefits from a strong safety culture, including a reduction in injury and illness, higher employee retention, cost savings, and bottom-line growth.
