Application Process

Our goal is to develop relationships with schools with strong construction management programs, where RCA representatives can make scholarship and classroom presentations to educate students about opportunities in retail construction. We also want to ensure a geographically diverse pool of schools, in hopes of connecting these top students with our members across the country. Our scholarship award is $3,000.

  • A student from each of the following schools will be selected to receive a Retail Contractors Scholarship: Brigham Young University, California Polytechnic State University, Clemson University, Kansas State University, Minnesota State University Mankato, Pratt Institute, Texas A&M University and East Carolina University.

  • RCA will make contact with the school representatives in the late fall and ask them to select three top students to complete a scholarship application. Those applications will be due by January 31 of each year.
  • The RCA Scholarship Committee will review and score the applications received and select the top candidate from each school to receive an award. We expect scholarship decisions to be made by February 28 of each year, with scholarship checks for the fall semester being sent to schools by April 30 of each year.
